Paper Format

The main goal is to make your paper neat and easily readable.  Type your paper using standard white paper and black ink. The font style should be clear and easily readable, something like Times New Roman or Arial in 12-size font.  The margins are one inch from the top, bottom, and the sides of the page.  Double space throughout the entire paper.

Do not use a title page.  Instead, on the first page, type your name, your teacher’s name, the course title, and the date on separate lines; make sure to have this against the left margin and to double-space.  Then center your title.  Do not underline the title or put it inside of quotation marks.

All pages (including page 1) have your last name followed by the page number in the upper right corner, ½ inch from the top of the page.  This is most easily accomplished by using a header with your word processor.
