Carlsbad Softball – 2008 Spring Season

The Carlsbad Softball Association is looking for volunteers for the upcoming 2008 Spring Season.  CSA is a girls fastpitch softball league for girls ages 5-16.  Help is needed with player evaluations, opening day, snack bar, field prep, pay to play, assistant coaching and the Seabreeze Tournament.  Contact Karl Stern at karl.stern@yahoo.com.

 

Poinsettia Elementary School Spring Carnival – Saturday, March 29th

Aviara Oaks Variety Show – April 3rd

Are you creative?  The AOE School is having a “Let’s Go Retro” Variety Show.  Needed are choreographers, set designers, backstage leaders, directors and assistants and sound crew assistants.  The show is Thursday at 6:30pm.  If you can help, contact Julie Barnett at (760) 213-9588 or barnettfive@sbcglobal.net.

 

Hands – On University – on going

Would you like to help children in your community?  Work with children ages 3-5 years old and work on classroom projects and improve literacy for young children.  Volunteer opportunities will start immediately and continue through the remainder of the school year.  Contact Chieko Lee, Center Director in Carlsbad at 603-1298.

 

Imagine Carlsbad – 4th Monday of each month

Imagine Carlsbad is a grass roots citizen committee with a vision “Creating the Future of Carlsbad Together.”  Their Mission is “We are an apolitical group of citizen’s working together for the future of Carlsbad to improve the overall quality of life.”  Students are invited to participate in meetings that are held on the 4th Monday of each month from 6:30-8:30pm at the Carlsbad Senior Center, 799 Pine Ave.  Just show up.  For more information or questions, contact Jim Comstock at 729-7444 or jim@comstockandassociates.com.
